Divine Mercy Sanctuary in Kraków-Łagiewniki

Devine Mercy Sanctuary in KrakówToday is the day of visiting churches. First thing this morning after breakfast, we went to the The Divine Mercy Sanctuary in
Kraków where there is a shrine designated by Cardinal Karol Wojtyła (Pope John Paul II) to Saint Faustina Kowalska who is buried there.

The area had been a Monastary for the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, where they eventually were in the church. There is a cemetery where the nuns from the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy are buried.

The structure has very modern architecture & is an amazing sight! It has a tower that you can go up either by stairs or by elevator to get a wonderful view overlooking Kraków, which of course I took the opportunity to do. The clear skies gave us a view that extends for miles.

If you are in Kraków, you should take the opportunity to see this beautiful church.
