8Cooling OffToday's post may seem out of place, but since it was going to be one of the hottest days, there was no plan for any touring
today. In the heat it would not be smart to exert oneself too much. Today it will get up to 96-97 degrees here with no change in the 10 day forecast.

It had been decided that we would spend the day at Jan & Maria's camp in Żarki to relax. Lukasz, Ania & their one year old Kuba were there along with myself and his parents. I was able to spend some time getting to know my new cousin Jakub (Kuba), although I am called Uncle. The swimming pool helped keep us all cool.

Instead of having someone cook for me, I decided to treat everyone to some of my grilling specialties. I made some baked potatoes, pork chops and onion bombs for everyone. They all enjoyed something different & the onion bombs were a big hit. They were begging for the recipe. One ingredient that you can DSC00881Pork Chops and Baked Potatoesnot find here is BBQ sauce, so I will have to make up a special box when I return home to send them. Maybe Santa Clause will make a delivery for me at Christmas. It may not be Polish food, but I have included a food photo anyway!

Although it will still be hot tomorrow, we will visit Krakow. I have been to Krakow many times, but I still enjoy seeing the sites. It also holds special memories for me because it was one of the first major Polish cities I visited with my father in 2004.
