This morning I woke up and the weather was perfect! I slept in late and then took my computer down to the outside seating of the hotel restaurant and had coffee while I worked on my blog posts and organized photos.
After I finished blogging, I drove to the Archives in Wrocław to add to my Archives photo collection. I tried to get in to the building itself, but the guard would not let me in unless I was actually there to do research. I have found that all of the Archives have some kind of guard/sign in.
The Archives are not far from Rynek, so I left my car parked after feeding the parking system first, and walked around the area where there are a number of old churches and buildings.
The most churches here in Wrocław were Evangelical, although now there is also Catholic Churches, a Jewish Synagogue & Greek Catholic. One must remember that the area of Wrocław was part of Germany until after WWII and the Germans were mostly Evangelical. Some of these Evangelical churches were taken over by other faiths.
I walked around the Rynek again to get some more photos. I swear that I have enough photos from all my visits that a computer could build a 3D rendering of the Rynek from the photos.
It only got to 92 F today, that may not sound like a lot, but it has been 97. Today the humidity was lower and there was a good breeze which made it more bearable.
Tomorrow I head to Jelenia Góra for a day trip to meet with family and Jacek Jakubiec who is the museum curator for Dwór Czarne (Black Manor). You may remember from older blog posts how I helped him solve a mystery at the Manor using my families genealogy. You can read about it by clicking here. Start from the post on the bottom, then you can click through to the next post at the bottom of each blog post.
